Science advocacy organisation Evidence for Democracy is asking scientists to help shape its submission to the federal government’s review of how fundamental science is supported in Canada.
The review, led by former University of Toronto president David Naylor, is collecting input from scientists and the public this summer, and will report back to science minister Kirsty Duncan by the end of the year.
“Given our unique connection to both the scientific research community and Canadians, Evidence for Democracy will be compiling submissions we receive and submitting a synthesis to the panel, presenting ideas, concerns, and ways forward for Canadian science funding,” said E4D on its website.
