Darren Gilmour has returned to the Royal Society of Canada as executive director.
Gilmour served as executive director of the society from 2008 to 2015, when he left to become vice-president at the Public Policy Forum think tank.
“We are thrilled to have Darren back,” said society president Maryse Lassonde. “Darren’s contributions were integral in the establishment of the college, in the development of our current strategic plan and in the acquisition of Walter House. The opportunities now before the society are vast, and Darren’s leadership is going to be important in realising these possibilities.”
