R&D spend rises in 2010

China’s R&D expenditure rose 0.06 percentage points between in the year to 2010, reports China Daily.

In a joint statement published on 28 September, China’s National Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Science and Technology said that China spent 706.3 billion yuan ($111.1bn) on R&D last year, taking total spend as a proportion of GDP to 1.76 per cent.
