Cancer researcher cleared of fraud

A cancer researcher from the National University of Singapore has been cleared of scientific misconduct, reports the Straits Times.

Yoshiaki Ito was cleared by an internal investigation at the university. The charge, which was brought by an Israeli scientist, related to a 2002 paper in the journal Cell that claimed that the RUNX3 gene suppresses the growth of cancer cells in the stomach.
