‘Blazing a trail’ in urban sustainability R&D

The Singapore government has told its first Urban Sustainability Research and Development Congress that it plans to spend S$400 million on research in this area.

The congress was held on 27 June and hosted over 800 participants from government agencies, research institutes and private sector companies. Its aim was to discuss research and development approaches to national urban sustainability challenges and initiate project collaborations.
