Botanical garden planned for Asia’s largest wild fruit forest

The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region has announced plans for a national botanical garden in Asia's largest wild fruit forest.

The garden is to be set up in Xinyuan county encompassing an area of 20 square kilometres, Zhang Xinshi, a researcher from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, told Xinhua news agency.
