Indian biotech company picks Malaysia

Biocon Ltd, an Indian biotechnology company, is to establish a RM500 million ($160m) R&D centre in Iskandar, at the southernmost tip of peninsular Malaysia, the Bernama news agency reported on 11 September.

The Bangalore-based company said the centre would be based at BioXCell, a biotechnology park. It would be operational by 2014 and would create around 600 jobs.
