Science ministry announces 50% funding boost

The Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has announced funding worth $244 million for a total of 64 research projects under the sixth round of its annual National Major Scientific Research Programme, reports Nature.

The money, to be spent over five years, represents a 50 per cent increase on last year’s funding of $160m.
