India's National Innovation Council says it has kick-started university partnerships, the development of innovation funds and regional innovation clusters.
‘The Report to the People 2012’ outlining the council’s work in the past year was handed to the Indian president, Pranab Mukherjee, on 2 November. The report is the second by the council, which was established in 2010 to drive India’s “decade of innovation”, a national strategy designed to make India a leading R&D country by 2020.
