Scientists and government go head-to-head at GM trial

An Indian Supreme Court case on a petition to halt field trials of genetically modified crops in India has continued to divide members of the scientific community and government officials.

On 9 November the court heard arguments from industry, government and anti-GM groups on the petition, which was filed by anti-GM groups in May.
