A physicist and an architect were awarded China’s top science and technology awards at a ceremony on 14 February.
Physicist Xie Jialin and architect Wu Liangyong were given the State Top Scientific and Technological Award worth 5 million yuan ($800,000). President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao attended the ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
