China’s citations on the rise

Science and technology papers in China were cited 10 million times in the past 10 years, making the country the seventh largest source of citations in the world.

A ScienceWatch.com report, published in conjunction with Thomson Reuters, includes citations data from 20 countries from 2001. The US had the most citations with 48 million, followed by Germany, England, Japan, France and Canada.
