China has launched its first artificial skin production base in Xi’an, in Shaanxi province on 21 February, reports China Daily.
The move makes China the second country in the world, after the US, to master the technology. Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine is a major part of China’s State Hi-Tech Development Plan.
