L’Oréal hopes the Singapore centre’s worth it

A research centre on Asian skin biology that is funded by cosmetics company L’Oréal has opened its doors at Singapore’s Institute of Medical Biology.

The centre, which houses eight scientists, is the start of a planned skin biology research cluster, which will eventually expand to include other research institutions. According to the company, Singapore was chosen because of its local expertise in biology.
