Tokyo tops Asian tally in THE reputation ranking

The University of Tokyo has performed better than any other institution from outside the UK and the United States in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings for 2015.

The Japanese university took 12th place, behind nine US and two UK institutions. Top of the table was Harvard University, followed by the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford.

Other high-ranking institutions from Asia included the National University of Singapore in 24th place, Tsinghua University in China in 26th place, and Japan’s Kyoto University in 27th.
