Outcry over Pakistan university attack

Governments and education organisations have condemned yesterday's terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University in the north of Pakistan, in which 21 people were killed.

In an outpouring of condolences, leaders from politics and education have called the 20 January attack, an attack on educational freedom, tolerance, autonomy and peace.

United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon called for those responsible to be brought to justice. Regional media reports have stated that several suspects have been arrested.
