The Indian government has signed agreements with Argentina and Israel to cooperate on R&D programmes studying Ayurvedic medicine.
At the World Ayurveda Congress in Kolkata on 1 December, the Indian minister of state for complementary medicine Ajit Sharan said that Ayurvedic treatments were undergoing a “second renaissance”, the news site Mathrubhumi reported.
India’s Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences intends to fund about 100 fellowships for ayuveda researchers, he said.
