China to bolster science ties with Brazil

The national science academies of Brazil and China have agreed to revive their scientific and technological cooperation through bilateral workshops.

The president of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences Luiz Davidovich and the vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Jie Zhang met in Beijing on 10 December to discuss scientific collaboration, the Brazilian academy reported.

The two organisations discussed signing a memorandum of understanding after an old one was discontinued by Brazil, according to the announcement.
