Israeli and Indian funding agencies join forces

The Israel Science Foundation and the University Grant Council of India have launched a joint research programme for academic researchers from both countries.

The aim of the programme is to encourage more research cooperation between Israeli and Indian scientists, as well as researcher exchange.

The Indian and Israeli governments will fund the programme through the two funding agencies. The ISF and UGC will each fund the principal investigators from their countries with up to $300,000 for an experimental project, or with up to $180,000 for a theoretical project. Funding will be available for up to three years.
