Qatar computing centre plans a global role

The Qatar Computing Research Initiative has announced plans to increase its number of scientists in residence from the present 21 to 110 by 2015.

“The QCRI aims to make Qatar a global centre for computing research,” Bradley Steffens, director of communications at the QCRI, told the Qatar Tribune. “It wants to become a leader in key areas which are vital to the growth of the country.
