Biomedical institute opens stem cell bank

A biomedical research institute in Tehran opened a stem cell bank on 5 September.

According to a statement from the Royan Institute, the bank will contain 8,400 vials of embryonic and non-embryonic stem cells, making Iran the 12th country to house such a facility.
