Iran projects soft power to the Arab world with more branch campuses

Iran is expanding its network of university campuses in the Arab states, University World News has reported.

The article, published on 20 March, says the country is in the process of setting up several branch campuses in countries including Iraq and the Union of the Comoros, an Arab League member and sovereign archipelago island nation off the east coast of Africa.

Iran is regarded as a regional rival by the larger members of the Arab League, including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
