Being a good partner, why creativity counts, postdocs in Japan

A roundup of this week’s Funding Insight articles

Funding Insight returns this week with a pair of articles drilling down on two watchwords in research culture: ‘partnerships’ and ‘creativity’. For the former, Phil Ward passes on what he’s learnt from his six months as director of the Eastern Arc universities consortium, while for the latter, David Gauntlett tries to rescue ‘creativity’ from its status as a buzzword and show why channeling it can do wonders for your research, grant-writing and career. Finally, we also hear from one of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science’s postdoctoral fellows who relates some of the joys and frustrations of working in the country.
