The British Academy's Rising Star Engagement Awards are about both public and academic engagement. 2017 winner Ana Antic tells Anna McKie how the scheme helped her point her research in a fresh direction.
The Rising Star Engagement Awards are not for research projects, rather they are for proposals that include events, and/or training and mentoring activities that will benefit the applicant but will also benefit early-career researchers in other disciplines.
The British Academy has run the awards annually since 2015, offering up to £15,000 to early-career academics for one year. The 2018 call is expected to open in late October.
