Opportunity profile: Life with a brain tumour

The Brain Tumour Charity’s pioneering Quality of Life Awards have opened for their third annual call. Bids in end-of-life care would be particularly welcome this time around, Erica Moyes, the charity’s research engagement manager, tells Lila Randall.

According to Brain Tumour Charity research findings around 90 per cent of brain tumour patients will have their emotional or mental health affected by their tumour, one in three will experience disturbing personality changes, and one in four will face cognitive problems.

Faced with this situation the charity launched its Quality of Life Awards in 2015. This year’s third call has a deadline for proposals of 1 September.
