Opportunity profile: AHRC aids education in times of crisis

The AHRC is looking to fund research networks on education in regions experiencing conflict and protracted crisis. Eleni Courea learns about the council's networking-scheme highlight from the head of the AHRC’s languages team Kristine Zaidi.

Kristine’s top tips

  • Justify all partners in your proposed network; each should being essential knowledge to the table.
  • Input from social sciences is welcome but the network’s centre of gravity must be within the arts and humanities.
  • Make an original case for what the arts and humanities can do to boost education in crisis situations.
  • Explain how the network could be sustained beyond the period of the grant.

The Global Challenges Research Fund highlight notice: Education in Conflict and Protracted Crises is being run as part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Research Networking Scheme. Part of the funding will come from the Global Challenges Research Fund and so all bids must be Official Development Assistance compliant.
