For success in the AHRC’s Research Networking scheme reach out beyond your current contacts
Top tips:
- Networking grants should not just be talking shops for your existing set of contacts and identifying and gaining trust from new partners takes time.
- Networks are excellent for bringing about cross-pollination of ideas; reach out beyond your own discipline and highlight the interdisciplinarity of your bid.
- Be sure to secure letters of support from any commercial partners.
- Look carefully at the organisational aspects of the project so that its timescale is realistic.
The Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Research Networking scheme supports researcher-led groups in exchanging ideas in a specified thematic area, issue or problem.
