- Involve non-scientists in the design of projects.
- The most important criteria against which applications will be evaluated are the scientific importance and potential impact—not just academic impact—of the proposal.
- There is a deadline for outline proposals in January but these submissions are not scored. However, applying at this stage is still essential.
