  • Explain your project’s legacy in terms of public understanding.
  • Include a team member with website and social media skills.
  • Involve a well-known person, however briefly.
  • Work with someone with a keen eye for costings.

The Royal Academy of Engineering’s Ingenious public engagement awards aim to give winners the chance to promote engineering to the public and build their own public engagement skills in the process. More than 200 projects have been funded to date.
