The AHRC’s latest scoping call will provide a pipeline of bright ideas for interdisciplinary initiatives
Top tips:
- All proposals must be aligned to the AHRC Delivery Plan as well as a priority of hypothecated funds such as the Strategic Priorities Fund and Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.
- All bids should be thematically arts and humanities-led and interdisciplinary, but that includes bids that contain interdisciplinarity within the AHRC’s remit.
- The call is meant to scope out exciting new areas of research—so bids making the case for a specific research project will not pass muster.
Where Next? Scoping Future Arts and Humanities Led Research aims to source bold ideas for future interdisciplinary research initiatives from the UK’s arts and humanities research community. Successful applicants will win grants of up to £150,000 each over nine months to perform a scoping study to investigate the potential of their idea. The deadline for applications is 2 April.
