The British Skin Foundation’s Small Grants are perfect for an early-career researcher’s pilot projects

- Ensure that the project is realisable within the budget (£10,000) and time period (one year) available.
- Small Grants can be used as ‘bolt-on’ funding but restrictions apply.
- Applications that touch on more than one area within dermatology are often highly valued by evaluators.
- The scheme welcomes bids in any field relevant to skin disease and will consider fundamental research as well as clinical projects.
This year, the British Skin Foundation hopes to fund 12 Small Grants across three streams, two of which are co-funded by the British Association of Dermatology and the British Photodermatology Group. Grants are worth up to £10,000 each for up to one year. The deadline for applications is 26 April.
