Many researchers’ TV consumption is set to soar over the coming months as the UK self-isolates at home. Whether our collective embrace of the TV set will inspire any bright ideas for research bids is dubious but if it does, then prospective bidders might seek advice from Jamie Medhurst, a senior lecturer in media and communication and co-director of the Aberystwyth University’s Centre for Media History.
