President says major changes are afoot at an association supporting neuroscientists worldwide
The International Brain Research Organization certainly lives up to its name. With more than 90 member organisations around the world, Ibro offers grants for neuroscientists in every corner of the globe.
Its budget of between €3 million and €4m ($3.6m and $4.8m) a year, mostly generated by the two journals it publishes, is spent almost exclusively on the global neuroscience community. There is a plethora of funding opportunities available, including Research Fellowships, Return Home Fellowships for researchers working outside their native country, Early Career Awards, training centres and travel grants.
