Council puts the workplace under the microscope in latest call
Top tips:
- Proposals that touch on other disciplines are welcome but remember that the research should mostly fall within the Economic and Social Research Council’s remit
- Letters of support should be precise and detail the nature of that support
- Similarly, each co-investigator’s responsibilities must be clear and detailed
- Projects that focus on the impact of Covid-19 on the workplace should ensure they look to the future to be eligible
In what may be a one-off call, the ESRC has turned its attention to changes in working lives and power in the workplace. It has launched a call for collaborative bids of between £535,000 and £720,000 (funded at 80 per cent full economic cost) to last up to three years. The council has suggested a list of topics for possible investigation under two broad headings: managing working transitions, and power and voice in a changing world of work. Collaborations with non-academic partners are encouraged. The deadline for applications is 30 September.
