Particle physics centre offers fellowships for those looking to boost their post-PhD experience

Top tips:

  • Make sure you use specific key words in your application when describing the types of technology you want to work with.
  • Write all aspects of your application, including your CV, in one of Cern’s two official languages—English or French.
  • Don’t be disheartened if you don’t get into the programme in this round. There is tough competition, but you can always apply in the next round.

Founded in 1954, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Cern) is the world’s largest particle physics centre. It offers several particle accelerator facilities and colliders, including the Large Hadron Collider, which is the most powerful particle accelerator ever built.
