UK in a Changing Europe senior fellows need to think on their feet

Top tips

  • Don’t be put off if you haven’t done media work before—there is support and training available
  • Applicants should demonstrate a willingness to be flexible in light of events as they unfold and engage with outside audiences from the beginning
  • Identify who your key audiences are and set out strategies in your proposal for how you will build new relationships
  • Applicants should stress their willingness to take up opportunities for collaboration with other fellows

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) has launched the fourth round of its UK in a Changing Europe senior fellowships, with a deadline of 30 June. The full economic cost of a single project may be up to £500,000 and ESRC will fund 80 per cent of that. Fellowships can run for up to 30 months.
