Nature-based solutions to be examined in £9.5m call
- This is an impact-oriented programme, so bids must show why they would be important for development, not just for academic research.
- Equality, diversity and inclusion should be robust in all areas, including planned impact.
- In-country researchers and project partners should be involved from the outset.
- Genuine interdisciplinarity is important.
UK Research and Innovation, working with the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, has opened a call backed by £9.5 million for researchers in the UK to partner with their peers and partner organisations in Sub-Saharan Africa to address the context relevance and scalability of nature-based climate solutions.
