From the archive: Leverhulme Research Centres (part one)

The first of a two-part special to celebrate the fourth round of the prestigious scheme

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, as the saying goes. On 21 February, the Leverhulme Trust opened the fourth round of its prestigious Research Centres call, which will run along markedly similar lines to the previous competitions (although applicants are advised to scour the scheme’s finer details for any changes).

Once again, the trust is offering up to £10 million over 10 years for centres “for outstanding multidisciplinary research aspiring to achieve a step change in scholarship”. And once again, the competition is operating in responsive mode, with no thematic restrictions. The deadline for outline applications is 7 June.
