European research is like gold-dust for researchers, and requires good project management, excellent consortia and plenty of impact. Read our basic guide here.

The European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation completed its seventh incarnation (FP7) in 2013, and Horizon 2020 started at the beginning of 2014. Funding from these programmes is given to projects that can demonstrate ‘European added value’. Projects applying for EU funding must be consortia with participants in different European (or other) countries. As always, approaching your research office is the best way to start.
