How to keep your head when your reviewers are losing theirs

Every researcher has to get used to it, but only a masochist would actually enjoy the sting of a well-aimed critique from an anonymous source. So, how to cope with a poorly aimed one? Or something far wide of the mark?

In this piece from January 2019, Phil Ward, now director of the Eastern Arc consortium, gave some pointers. They include—predictably but importantly—“take a deep breath”.
