How universities can tailor their industry collaboration strategies to their local areas.
Interactive maps released today aim to allow universities to identify opportunities to collaborate with local small to medium-sized enterprises.
The maps, compiled by the by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, show the size, industry type and other characteristics of small to medium-sized enterprises across England. They will help universities better understand their local economy with a view to contributing to its development more effectively. They are accompanied by a report that profiles England’s 39 Local Enterprise Partnerships, and shows that there are “significant variations” among them.
