Students trust universities, study finds

The Office for Students should protect the relationship between undergraduates and lecturers, it recommends.

Students value a personalised and collaborative relationship that gives them confidence that their university cares about their educational interests—although half also say they think of themselves as customers, according to a survey published by Universities UK on 21 June.

The vice-chancellors’ representative organisation commissioned ComRes, a polling company, to survey 1,000 part-time and full-time undergraduates across the UK.
