The University of East Anglia gains a gold, but 17 other appeals are refused.
A gold rating has been awarded to the University of East Anglia after it successfully appealed against its silver rating in the teaching excellence framework, the Higher Education Funding Council for England has said.
The university was upgraded on 15 August.
