Chris Husbands, the vice-chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University who chairs the teaching excellence framework, has been appointed to chair the board of the Higher Education Statistics Agency.
Husbands will replace Simon Gaskell, principal of Queen Mary University of London, who steps down on 31 July.
Paul Clark, chief executive of the Higher Education Statistics Agency, said in a statement: “I am delighted that Professor Husbands has agreed to chair the board, and I look forward very much to working with him as we embark on the next phase of our development.”
