Devolution contributes to change in approach to statistics

The next edition of the Higher Education Statistics Agency’s UK performance indicators will be the last to be published in its current form, it has been announced.

Jonathan Waller, Hesa’s director of data and innovation, confirmed in a blog post that the data—which include participation rates of students from under-represented groups, non-continuation rates and take-up of disabled student allowance—would need “fundamental revision” to remain relevant, given that they were conceived prior to devolution.
