Former cabinet minister and University of Oxford call out last-minute cancellation by student society
Former home secretary Amber Rudd has claimed she was no-platformed in a “badly judged and rude” decision by students at a University of Oxford society minutes before she was due to speak. While the university says it "strongly disapproves" of the decision.
On 6 March Rudd claimed she had been invited to give a talk about encouraging young women into politics to mark International Women’s Day but was “no-platformed” 30 minutes before the event was due to start.
