Universities implement travel bans as coronavirus spreads

Several UK institutions are stopping staff from travelling overseas for work

Universities are starting to suspend international travel for staff in response to the coronavirus outbreak spreading across the globe.

As of 10 March, several universities had updated their travel advice for staff. Manchester Metropolitan University confirmed that it was advising staff against all but essential travel on university business until further notice. For domestic travel, the university is following Public Health England guidelines.
