Staff face similar challenges when attempting to appraise their outreach work.
Familiar struggles with gaining access to data and having information in a form and at the time that it is needed were identified by a report from the Office for Fair Access published on 21 June.
Such difficulties cropped up regularly among the staff surveyed by researchers at the University of Warwick. So did a lack of time and resources, and problems persuading people within the institution to conduct an evaluation.
