Tackle grade inflation or I will do it for you, says OfS chair

     

James Wharton also calls on all universities to adopt IHRA antisemitism definition

The chair of the Office for Students has warned universities in England that if they do not work with the regulator to stem grade inflation, he may impose a solution on them himself. 

Conservative peer James Wharton (pictured), who became OfS chair in April 2021, told the GuildHE Spring Conference that he had “concerns” about the “increasing numbers of students getting higher and higher degree classifications in recent years”.
