Analysis from the Office for Students finds pull of London area is still strong
The Office for Students has said more must be done to stop graduates thinking that they must move to London to find a good job, as it published work showing opportunities are often still concentrated in the nation’s capital city.
Using experimental statistics, the OfS found that 70 per cent of graduates in London, Reading, Slough and Heathrow were earning £23,000 or more or were in further study three years after they had left university. In the Midlands, northern England and south-west England, the equivalent figure was just 52 per cent.
